MEPCOM’S Battalions and MEPS Locations

Each branch of the Armed Forces is charged with recruiting the next generation of soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines. Once recruited, MEPCOM, a joint command of all branches, is responsible for apptitude and fitness testing, processing, swearing in, and shipping the recruits to basic training.
This work is accomplished at sixty five MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Stations) around the country, and StarForce provides dedicated local transportation services to MEPS in eleven MEPCOM Battalions.
At the MEPS, StarForce provides a team of drivers, and a small fleet of vans and/or buses dedicated exclusively to helping the MEPS with the following transportation components:
- daily movement of recruits to and from various medical clinics in the vicinity of the MEPS
- daily moving of military passengers from the MEPS to the airport for shipping out to distant basic training locations
- daily moving of recruits from the DoD hotel to the MEPS in the early morning for processing
- daily moving of recruits from the MEPS to the DoD hotel in the evening

The size of our driver team and fleet will vary at individual MEPS depending on its processing tempo, and the number of transportation functions StarForce has been asked to fulfill.
But the common elements at StarForce MEPS operations include a team and fleet which are at the disposal of the MEPS First Sergeant and Commander, both to fulfill StarForce’s assigned duties, and be available in the event of any emergency requiring transportation of military personnel.
